Content Warning: Animal Cruelty

You have heard of the cruel bull fights. You know elephants are wrongfully hunted and killed for their tusks. But did you know that each year between 50,000 to 100,000 Spanish Greyhounds are killed in Spain?

The Spanish Greyhound — or Galgo Español — is discarded en masse when the end of the Spanish hunting season draws near at the end of January.

It is important to spread awareness about the cruel and sadistic practices of the Spanish hunters and to give the Galgos, that suffer in silence, a voice.

If you want to learn more about why Galgos need our help, I highly recommend reading this article.

For the entire month of February 2025, I collected my Ko-Fi earnings and donated 100% to the Fundación Benjamín Mehnert, who is actively helping and rescuing Galgos, Podencos and other dogs in Spain to start a new life in a forever home.

Learn more about the FBM here

With my “Free The Galgo” wallpaper pack in my Ko-Fi store, I will continue to donate all earnings to the FBM.

Having adopted three of these magnificent and sensitive beings, it feels bizarre that there are people out there intentionally hurting and even killing them. While any donation is highly appreciated, it is but a drip in the ocean. We need to stop this mistreatment at the root and create better conditions for these dogs. Raise your voice, spread the word. Let the Spanish government and the hunters know that you are not fine with this.

Thank you for your support.
